Dubai Marina is one of the emirate’s best-known districts as it continues to develop, with increased dining and shopping opportunities. With many properties within walking distance of the beach, it is easy to see why it is becoming the most desirable address in Dubai real estate.
Add to that the hundreds of apartments that have eye-catching views of the world’s largest man-made marina, it makes for a winning combination in terms of buying property for investment or as a place to live.
The Marina is often referred to as “New Dubai” by long-term residents, although, for several years it has been a firmly established community with thousands of people living or working there, making the most of the shopping and dining outlets on The Walk, and, one of the city’s most popular beaches.
The area caters to a young demographic, thanks to the fact that it borders Media City, the workplace of the majority of the emirate’s media professionals, as well as being within easy reach of Knowledge Village – the university district – and online business hub Internet City.
However, there is plenty on offer for families too, with good educational facilities including Raffles International School, Dubai College, and Kings Dubai all close by. Plus, the city’s two water parks – Aquaventure at The Atlantis Hotel, The Palm, and Wild Wadi at Jumeirah Beach Hotel, which compete with each other to have the most nerve jangling rides are also in the vicinity.
There is an established strip of hotels, meaning there is plenty to occupy you in your leisure time, including some of the city’s best-known Friday brunches, plus good shopping facilities at Dubai Marina Mall, which is open until 10 pm on week nights and midnight on weekends. The Palm Jumeirah, home to the iconic Atlantis Hotel and numerous other luxury hotels, is just a few minutes away, and, for those whom water parks are not exciting enough, the area has its very own skydiving company, Skydive Dubai, meaning you are unlikely to ever be bored living in the Marina.
