Life On The Sea Shore

Explore a thriving community by the sea

JBR, as it is widely known is made up of 36 residential towers plus a number of hotels and was completed in 2007. The proximity of hotels ensures high tourist concentration during peak seasons and that residents are never short of dining and socialising options. The towers are clustered around plazas which feature grassy open spaces, facilities including children’s play areas, gyms and swimming pools, and neighbourhood shops and cafes.

While JBR is home to people of all ages, the area particularly appeals to the young and young at heart. Skydive Dubai, which has grown into one of those “must experience” adventures for those living in the city is based at the edge of the district while Yoshi’s Gaming Lounge, a venue offering computer consoles, gaming, billiards and table football, is bound to be popular with teenagers. Outdoorsy types will also love the water sports opportunities on offer at most of the district’s hotels, from jet skiing to parasailing.
The Walk at JBR has become one of the top spots to see and be seen in Dubai, routinely filled with queues of luxury cars cruising by with drivers glorying in the attention attracted by their expensive rides.

JBR’s proximity to the beach means that it is enduringly popular, so that studio apartments are currently listed from AED 85,000 per annum. A good-sized one-bed will set you back AED 105,000 and a two-bed AED 130,000. Three-bed apartments start from AED 160,000 and four-beds start from AED 240,000.
For buyers, prices start from AED 1.4 million for a studio apartment.

Rents and sales prices on The Palm have reportedly increased a great deal recently, with current listings suggesting that prices start from AED 155,000 per annum for a one-bed in Tiara Sapphire Residence.
A spacious two-bed in Al Shahla, one of the distinctive turreted developments on the Palm’s trunk, will cost at least AED 160,000. Three-bedroom apartments in the same development start from AED 200,000.
A four-bedroom 5,000 sq. ft. duplex is listed for AED 315,000, while a traditional Arabian-style four-bed villa is offered for AED 400,000. Five bedroom villas are listed for between AED 520,000 and AED 850,000.
For those looking to buy, prices start at AED 1.75 million for a one bedroom Shoreline apartment.

Take a look at The Palm

The Betterhomes team in JBR also handle sales and leasing for The Palm, another bold symbol of Dubai optimism – a palm tree-shaped island that juts out into the Arabian Gulf, home to luxury apartments, opulent villas set on private beaches and top hotels. On the outer crescent is the coral pink Atlantis Hotel, the theme of which is the legendary underwater lost city, also the base of the record breaking water park Aquaventure which offers discounts to UAE residents on presentation of a valid Emirates ID, passport or visa.

The Jumeirah Zabeel Saray Hotel, with its chic Supperclub, a restaurant that turns into a nightclub as the evening progresses, the Anantara Resort and Fairmont The Palm are among the popular weekend destinations for both residents and tourists.

Back on the mainland, the development of JBR continues apace, with the latest estimate for the official opening date of The Beach development penciled in as being within days – Monday 17th February. Meanwhile, construction of yet another offshore development – Bluewaters, due to feature shopping destinations, luxury accommodation, and the world’s biggest ferris wheel continues in earnest.
