Hosted at the Al Marmoom Camel Race Track, the event is described as “a wealthy camel racing extravaganza”. So Dubai. It is now in its third year and is free to attend. Attendees can expect to see a series of thrilling races of varying distances between purebred Arabian camels.
The annual #EmiratesLitFest is now in its 12th year and proposes to deliver a range of programs especially for children, adults, businesses and publishers as well as lots of free events too. The aim is to connect people of all ages and from all backgrounds with their combined love for reading, writing and learning. There will be plenty to delight guests and representation from a diverse range of voices including thoughtful debate about pressing topics and historical stories.
The Dubai World Cup Carnival is a horse racing event, which is part of the lead up to the Dubai World Cup in March. The series is hosted in the beautiful Meydan racecourse which features top-quality amenities for your viewing pleasure. There are a range of viewing options for all budgets. Here spectators will be able to see some of the world’s fastest horses and most talented jockeys for an exciting day of races.
Virgin Radio hosts this critically acclaimed music festival that will this year feature some of the biggest names in pop music including Martin Garrix, Raye, Bastille, Stormzy and Young Thug, as well as Virgin Radio djs. The festival will take place at the Dubai Media City Ampitheatre over two days, beginning in the afternoon and running until 1am and it will also feature street food vendors and local talent.
This year the championship is featuring a spectacular line up of talent and will see Roger Federer and Belinda Bencic defend their crowns. 14 of the world’s top 20 players will hit the courts and the tournament is also celebrating its 20th year of the WTA event. The impressive line up of players makes it one of the hottest competitive tennis events after the Grand Slam. The WTA stars will play from 17th – 22nd February, whilst the men will play from 24th – 29th February.
This year’s jazz festival hosted at Dubai Media City Amphitheater will feature a 3 day line up of jazz music. Some fantastic artists are set to perform such as Lionel Richie and Ms. Lauryn Hill.
