What’s coming up in Dubai this July

July is finally here! That means it’s going to get even toastier. Last month was just a taster and you can expect it’s only going to get hotter from here. But don’t fret. Dubai has plenty of things in store for you and your family!

From a sensational Swiss quartet, another long weekend (we’d be remiss to forget that), to an out-of-this-world cosplay that culminates with a dive into a freezing pool of water, Dubai is the coolest place to be this month.

Get ready to add a few reminders to your calendar. Here’s what’s on in Dubai this July!

Dubai Summer Surprises

July 1 marks the start of the much-awaited annual Dubai Summer Surprises (DSS), which runs from today until Saturday, September 4, 2021. If we weren’t in the office right now, you can be sure we would be at the nearest Majid Al Futtaim’s mall. Why? The 12-hour sale is happening today from 10 am to 10 pm with sales of up to 90 percent off!

La Perle by Dragone

While this officially started yesterday, you can now book tickets to this heart-stopping show in Al Habtoor City if you haven’t yet. This mesmerizing 90-minute performance will keep you on the edge of your seat with daredevil feats, breathtaking acrobatics and world-class choreography. It’s a show you really have to watch!

Red Bull Jump & Freeze

This is so bonkers that it deserves a spot here. Three-member teams will compete in full-on, out-of-this-world costumes, merrily hitting the slopes of Ski Dubai and taking a plunge into ice-cold water. A panel will judge the wacky spectacles based on their costume, audience impact, and dive. If you’re up for it, register here.

Il Divo live

Kicking off their world tour, Il Divo is set to perform on Friday, July 16 2021 to promote the release of For Once In My Life: A Celebration of Motown. As the opening concert for DSS, the renowned classical crossover group will belt some of their biggest hits at the Coca-Cola Arena. Tickets are selling fast so make sure to book yours here.

Eid Al Adha 2021

Yes, we are looking forward to another long break this July for Eid Al Adha, the feast of the sacrifice and the latter of the two biggest Islamic holidays. The official dates are yet to be announced, depending on the moonsighting. The public holiday will likely start on July 20, giving residents a five-day break for those off on a Friday and Saturday.
