Arabian Travel Market Exhibition 2016

Do not miss the Arabian Travel Market Exhibition, the Middle East’s leading tourism and travel exhibition, this month. Witness a huge line-up of local and global tourism destinations, a diverse range of accommodation options, breath-taking tourist attractions, travel technology and new airline routes, all under one roof at Dubai World Trade Centre.

The 23rd edition of the Dubai travel exhibition will open its doors to over 2,800 exhibitors such as Emirates Airline, Qantas, Google, Trip Advisor and Amadeus along with world-class hotels and resorts such as Mövenpick, Accor, The Ritz-Carlton, Hilton, Rotana, Anantara and Fairmont. Expected to receive over 36,000 visitors, Arabian Travel Market will most importantly, showcase the growth of Dubai’s mid-market travel sector.

Now in its 23rd year, the travel exhibition, over the course of 4 days, will provide an opportunity for visitors and exhibitors to meet, network and discuss opportunities in travel technology, hospitality, car rentals, medical tourism as well as spa and wellness retreats. The exhibit will be split by area and sector with locations across the world represented.

Dubai travel and hospitality sectors have seen rapid growth in recent years. According to official estimates by Jones Lang LaSalle (JLL), Dubai travel and hospitality saw the addition of 2,700 hotel keys in 2015, increasing the total supply to 67,100 keys. Also, Dubai Tourism estimates reveal that in the run-up to the Expo, between 140,000 and 160,000 extra rooms will be required, up from the current tally of 90,000 rooms, with an additional 10,000 rooms requiring refurbishment. These figures clearly demonstrate the growing appetite of travellers to visit Dubai and the bright future for mid-market accommodation options that help free up visitors spend for other tourist activities in the city.

Over the years, Arabian Travel Market has witnessed tremendous growth as one of Dubai’s key travel and tourism events. With Dubai Expo 2020 not too far away, the travel exhibition aims to project Dubai as one of the world’s top travel and tourism destinations and pave the way for welcoming 20 million visitors annually in the run up to the 6-month long event.

Bringing together key market players from six continents, a range of speakers and influential figures from the travel industry and featuring seminars, discussions and informative workshops, Arabian Travel Market will take place at the Dubai International Convention & Exhibition Centre (DICEC) from April 25-28 this year.
