Your guide to living in Green Community

Green Community is one of Dubai’s most exclusive lifestyle communities with an environmentally conscious infrastructure that complements the community’s lush surroundings (hence its name). 

Cobbled roads, pedestrian walkways, bicycle paths, and low speed limits ensure the residential areas are relatively traffic-free. Meanwhile, 24-hour security with gatehouses enables residents and families to feel safe and secure. Green Community is widely considered to be one of the preferred locations in Dubai for family living, as it has great links to many areas of Dubai plus facilities and amenities conveniently close at hand. These include two large parks, a scenic lake, beautiful water features, numerous community swimming pools, gymnasiums, tennis courts, basketball courts, a volleyball court and plenty of children’s play areas. Green Community also hosts an onsite shopping mall with a Choithrams supermarket, numerous lakeside restaurants, and further supermarkets in the immediate vicinity of the community. There is an onsite hotel, The Marriott Courtyard, as well as two budget hotels, Premier Inn and Armada Hotel.

Getting arounds

You need a car to get around with ease but there are taxis and a regular bus service that runs to Ibn Battuta Shopping Mall. From here, commuters can access the Metro to other areas of Dubai. The community is located about 30 minutes drive time from Dubai International Airport and 20 minutes from Al Maktoum International Airport at Dubai World Central. In addition, Abu Dhabi International Airport is a one-hour drive away.

Best for

Families. The onsite kindergarten, The Childrens’ Garden (which teaches in three languages), is very popular and adds to the area’s appeal, especially for families. Furthermore, there are several international schools located just minutes from the community, within Dubai Investment Park.

The Green Community consists of luxury villas, family villas, townhouses, and a variety of different sized apartments located across 67 hectares in Dubai Investment Park.

Meet the neighbours

The Singh family live in a three-bedroom villa with their five-year- old daughter Aisha. "Green Community is perfect for her schooling", says mum Kavita.

“We moved here when Aisha was two because we were thinking ahead to the start of nursery and school. There are plenty of options for her here, from kindergarten to secondary school, and she’s already made lots of friends who all live close by. For me, I like that sense of community and the friendly neighbours. Green Community is so convenient for everything. We go shopping at The Courtyard Mall, there are nice restaurants nearby, and we all enjoy walking around the parks when the weather is cool. My husband works in Jebel Ali, so it’s easy for him as well, and the roads are quiet which is good for his commute and safe for Aisha.”
